CUSTOM MADE
_______________________________________________________
Custom finishes can range from specific case designs, diamond laid cases and back lit logos, different plated finishes including gold and silver and air brushed artwork. We also change the electronics and processors to suit the customer’s specific request.
There are 5 Stages of manufacture and design that we need to go through to get exactly what the client wants.
1 - VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS |
Once we know exactly what the client is looking for in terms of sound output, ie: maximum bass, high fidelity, and the intended purpose of the system, ie: car shows, sound competition, or personal use, we need to measure up the vehicle to see what speakers will be best suisted and how they will be installed. This will affect the power output and processor type that will need to be used with the installation.
By knowing the power output we can start to map out the layout, shape and rough design of the amplifier.
2 - PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS |
This is where we start to get more of a visual idea of the amplifier. At this stage materials for machining the unit and types of finishes the client is looking for are considered to ensure you get an amplifier tailor made to your vehicle.
We will produce a few sketches of the unit so we can get the design figured out before we invest the time into producing a 3D model of the unit digitally and or with high density foam.
3 - CAD DESIGN AND PROTOTYPING |
At this stage we have a good idea of the aesthetic look of amplifier. With the layout and shape determined we will be able to produce a 3d model of the unit in full colour, rendered to replicate the look of the final unit. The client will be able to see their unit in full feature to fine tune the detail to their desired look.
The client has 2 options from here; we can proceed with the manufacture of the unit or produce a prototype out of high density foam. A high density foam prototype will allow the client to install a mock-up version of the amplifier into their vehicle to test fit and aesthetics.
Any cosmetic changes can still be made at this stage, but chassis changes may require the design stage to start again with additional costs.
4 - FINAL MANUFACTURE |
The unit will be machined out of the selected material by our specialist machining company. From here there may be slight modifications made by the machinist to guarantee the outcome of the unit throughout the machining process.
5 -FINAL PAINT AND FINISHING |
The unit will be finished as per the specifications requested. Right through this process the unit will be scrutinised by a representative from our company to make sure the highest standards are adhered to.
